Cookie Policy — Built by Asteris
Built by Asteris uses essential cookies, plus minimal first-party analytics (Google Analytics 4, IP-anonymised) and — when you arrive via a Partner Programme link — a 90-day affiliate attribution cookie via Endorsely. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking pixels. This page lists every cookie we set and why.
What cookies we use
Built by Asteris sets three categories of cookie: essential (required for the service to function), analytics (anonymised, IP-truncated), and partner attribution (only set when you arrive via a Partner Programme tracking link).

What we don't use
We do not set or allow:
Advertising pixels or retargeting tags. Cross-site tracking cookies. Heatmap or session-replay tools (Hotjar, FullStory, etc.). Social media tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, X conversion pixel, etc.). Any cookie that profiles your behaviour for marketing purposes outside the analytics and partner attribution disclosed above.
Third-party cookies
Three third-party services may set cookies through Built by Asteris pages: Google Analytics 4 (anonymous aggregate analytics — see Google's cookie policy); Endorsely (partner attribution, 90-day window, set only when arriving via a Partner Programme link — see Endorsely's privacy policy); and our infrastructure providers Cloudflare and Clerk for DDoS protection, bot management, and authentication — documented in Cloudflare's cookie policy and Clerk's privacy policy.
How to control cookies
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. The method differs by browser:
Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions
If you block the Clerk session cookie, you won't be able to stay logged in to Asteris. The theme and dismissed-banner cookies are purely for your convenience — blocking them has no functional impact beyond losing those preferences.
Changes to this policy
If we add any new cookies, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date will change. We won't add non-essential cookies without updating this document and giving notice through our standard policy-change process.
