Common questions.
How does the 7-day trial actually work?
You enter your card at checkout. Stripe holds it but doesn't charge. On day 7, your card is auto-charged the tier you picked. Cancel any time before day 7 in Settings → Billing — your card is never charged. We send a reminder email three days before the trial ends.
Why card required?
Forge runs real compute — enterprise transcription and frontier-model synthesis. Without a card on file, the trial would be a free GPU fountain. Card required keeps the trial honest and the pricing sustainable.
Can I change tiers?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime from Settings → Billing. Upgrades are prorated; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
What happens if I exceed monthly limits?
We don't auto-charge for overages. Soft limit warning at 80%, hard cap at 100%. Top-up packs available for one-time bursts, or upgrade if it's a recurring need.
Is my content used to train AI?
No. All AI and transcription providers we use are configured to opt out of training on submitted content. Your content stays yours.
What currency are prices in?
All prices on this page are in USD. Stripe handles currency conversion automatically at checkout — your card is charged in USD and your bank applies its own conversion rate.
Refunds?
Cancel anytime — you keep access until period end. For genuine misfires (charged unexpectedly, system fault), email service@builtbyasteris.com and we'll sort it same day.
